So I just got back from the Monroe Street Bridge. Apparently at about 7 last night some guy climbed up off the sidewalk and made like he was gonna jump. He stayed up there all night and all day today while the police "negotiated" and made sure that no one walked on nearby sidewalks. In the afternoon the guy finally climbed down back on to the sidewalk proper and a nearby police officer decided the best thing to do was draw his weapon (presumably a taser). The guy saw this, freaked out, and jumped. I don't know if he's dead or not.
Tasers seem to be just as effective against the suicidal as they are against the mentally disabled!
Next on Spokane COPS: No helmets at the skate park, but PLENTY of tickets! Stay tuned!!!

He is very dead...long fall onto sharp jagged rocks = dead.
Had a good view of him from the office, but didn't actually see him jump off.
two white guys riding in a slightly jacke dup chevrolette suv drove by me in my Akira shirt while i was smoking. They were listening to really loud hiphop and as they drove by me one yelled "Emo ass fuck"
it kind of made my day, its finally been declared by that guy in spokane in his truck that Patrick is an emo ass fuck.
I kind of reminded me of the time those dumb hoes called Pat a geek in the Safeway in olympia. only my seemed more humourous to me. Typing on too much ambien is had, but its hard a differently from alcohol. I dont see any postions where i need to correct and the little red line means othing too me. the line is really the only thing harshing the mello of my paragraph. The letters seem like happy but maybe mouldy clouds floating while blood lighting shooting unerneith them. Sat, Jul. 14th, 2007, 12:45 pm cheering pat up
So since and because of the shit in my last posts ive been desperately sad. I kind of flipped out and had some sort of emotional attack, which turned out to be ok because it gave me some perspective on things. So now im sad, but im not like crazy out of control. Last night also cheered me up a bit. It was Rhonda's (who is the bartender at the Pear Tree inn) birthday party. She turned 51. It was like a weird old frat party. I think my parents would have been some of the youngest people there, and I did pretty well staying out of the action. But i was still flashed and pressured to grab old woman (and men) boobies WAY more than im used to, and there were definitely more old woman making out than there usually are. Everything came to a climax at about 1.30 when Rhonda whispered to me "ill be i can get 60% of the people here shirtless by the end of the night". And then she did. I still lover her tho... and got an invitation to her pool party... Several times last night old men pointed out to me which old women "like younger guys", maybe by the time of the pool party my libido will be back Ill be drunk enough to capitalize on my new knowledge.

well my girlfriend just broke up with me :( Thu, Jul. 5th, 2007, 06:49 pm shitty news
about 20 hours after I got back into the country I went with my family to salvage whatever we could from the boat, it was kind of a bittersweet gathering lots of sharing memories and all that. The shitty part is that at the same time she was with us my grandmother had a bleeding stroke. At first it was hard to notice but eventually we took her to the hospital and she eventually stopped moving most her body and talking. so for the past 4 days ive basically been living here at the Koutnei county medical center watching her at night and trying to comfort her.
ugh
Im back in spokane. On a whole the trip was pretty great coming back home to potable water and lovely temperatures is nice too though.
After my return to delhi not much happend before my last day when i was drinking before my flight. There i met a woman named Lola who made her living wandering around the world selling tattoos. We got to talking and became freindly and drunk, she then told me her life plan (which she had already put in motion) of commissioning some company in the Philippines to create an enormous pirate ship which she would sail around the oceans giving tours and tattoos. To help her in this task she bought a large piece of land where her crews family will live untill she dies and they (or her most trusted individual) will inherit the ship. Eventually she offered to give me a tattoo but we had run out of time so instead she gave me a bunch of pills which are probably valium.
I remember driving to the airport and getting out of my taxi but then my next thought is being incredibly suprised that I was on an airplane. After my initial surprise i realized a german woman was for some unknown reason trying to explain to me how to use a headrest and that i had somehow finished a meal and was eating whatever the dessert was still wrapped in plastic. I spit out the plastic and passed out. Later I found my bag and everything went smooth PLUS i still have some pills left over. Mon, Jun. 25th, 2007, 03:17 pm Kathmandu
Is not quite as much fun as the name makes it sound. its reminds me a little of bangkok but everything closes at 9pm except the tourists bars. Other than that its mostly dusty or rainy, but the old parts of the city are something to see.
I finished shopping for my family and am spedning most of my time smoking and drinking and playing cards either at home or in the casino. i get a flight to delhi the day after tomorrow and then its home to spokane!
also one of my grandmothers neighbors had the same kind of boat as my grandmothers for sale so my family all pitched in an bought it. good for me.
for some reason on this computer i can type in english and webpages show up in hebrew but the langage option is set to japanese. Thu, Jun. 14th, 2007, 03:35 pm Pokhara
I have kind of started living in Pokhara and thats just fine.
Most days here I wake up, read for a couple hours then go and talk Nepali politics with the hotel manager and the internet guy from across the street who hangs out. Then I go get lunch and talk with the owner of the restaurant about whatevers on his mind. Recently Ive started playing dice with my barbar/maseuse(?) and a constantly drunk music composer and whoever else happens to be at the local hangout which is a big tree next to the lake. After I either read in the park or wander around looking at local sights. Then I join a japanese couple who live in vancouver, a korean guy, a german guy, and an Isreali who is now living in Miami for cards and drinks.
The hotel owner says that he'll give me some of last years crops from the giant hemp plant that grows in the hotel garden. Tue, May. 29th, 2007, 07:10 pm Smoking Indo
I hired a driver to take me around because it saves me a lot of time and hassle. We just finished the tour and I am back in Delhi, the guy was pretty cool and had me over to his house. But yesterday we went to this Lakshmi temple that is, Im told, the only soutty temple in the world. I dont know if I spelled soutty right, its the ritual where a widow will burn her self alive for extra honor points. Anyways now the temple is used to pray for good business deals. When we got there I got to be in the middle of a big program which involved about 150 praying people surrounded by 7 big banging bells and a guy beating a huge drum. It was amazing. Unfortuntaly we had apparently snuck in and immediately after the program a police officer came in to pray, spotted us and kicked us out, I think because I was not Indian.
Heres other things that happend in the car on the way
I saw 2 kinds of mongoose antelope, buffalo and giant antelope a cobra! a dog standing in a giant dead tent of a camel at least 30 flipped "lorries"
We had 4 flat tires 2 minor car accidents
Also one night I stuffed myself with cheap beer and masala chicken then smoked an "Indian cigar" or biri, and came really close to throwing up all over myself |
